Med Vac Pump - Serviam served as the design-build contractor for replacement and modernization of critical medical vacuum infrastructure in Building 1. The project included architectural and engineering services, removal of the existing vacuum system, a new vacuum pump skid, associated piping, valves, controls, communications, electrical infrastructure, integration with medical-gas alarms, and NFPA 99 testing and verification. The work required sequenced coordination with VA shops, design professionals, and medical-gas specialists to protect active patient-care operations.

Perform modifications to the domestic water system for compliance and safety. Including removing asbestos insulation and installing new piping, water sensors, valves, fountains and sinks, and removing piping causing stagnation.
Albany Chiller Replacement
Serviam worked to replace the roof on the Chiller Plant, Building 54 (Roof Area 62), located at the Stratton VA Medical Center, Albany, New York. The existing roof system was saturated and was scheduled to be replaced after new cooling towers were installed. However, the system was in such a state of failure that the leaking of the system caused problems to recently installed equipment which then needed to be replaced. It was imperative that the roof system be replaced so that new equipment could be safely installed.

Federal Correctional Facilities
Allenwood Prison - Serviam completed a full interior renovation of two levels of an inmate housing unit and its exterior courtyard within an active maximum-security federal detention facility. Scope included demolition, reconstruction, secure detention doors and glazing, reinforced wall and ceiling assemblies, plumbing and mechanical upgrades, electrical distribution and lighting, durable epoxy flooring, and reconfiguration of cells into office and administrative spaces.

Syracuse VA Medical Center
Renovate 6th floor B wing 6C (2016) - Serviam completed a full interior renovation of approximately 14,000 square feet of Ward 6C to add new patient-care space within the Syracuse VA Medical Center. The work included selective demolition and asbestos abatement; architectural finishes; new plumbing, medical gas, HVAC, fire protection, electrical, communications, nurse-call, public-address, and security systems; and coordination of testing, commissioning, system shutdowns, and closeout. The project required work within an active hospital environment and integration with existing VA infrastructure.
Renovate 4B for Cardiology (2021) - Serviam renovated the fourth-floor B Wing of Building 1 to create a new outpatient cardiology unit. The project involved demolition and abatement, replacement and integration of architectural, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and clinical support systems, and installation of new finishes. The project record describes renovation of approximately 6,700 gross square feet, with a separate past-performance reference listing 4,000 square feet; the work was delivered within the existing hospital environment.
Replace Boiler Flue Gas Vents (2022) - Serviam replaced deteriorated flue-gas vent systems serving four existing 4,000-MBH Category IV gas boilers in the medical center mechanical penthouse. The project replaced corroded single-wall vents with insulated double-wall special gas vent assemblies using AL29-4C stainless-steel inner walls and stainless-steel outer casings, while retaining the existing guy-wire system and anchors. Serviam provided prime-contract administration, coordination, scheduling, field oversight, and VA communication.
